The space around you is a reflection of your mind

The space around you is a reflection of your mind.

Not only space but old items and clothes have an energy of their own.

Fun Fact:

The first task Jordan Peterson (a world-renowned psychotherapist), usually gives to his patients, is to clean their rooms.

And I hope you’ve heard of Feng Shui.

If you haven’t, I recommend you check it out.

But basically, feng shui is an ancient Chinese system of laws, set to govern the space around you. What you put in your space, and where.

From pictures to items to clothes, mirrors, doors, how your house is positioned, windows, etc. Almost everything.

Following these laws makes sure the right energy is flowing in your space.

And I get it, this might sound like new-age nonsense.

But tell me then, why do you have such a better focus working in the library?

Or at your workplace…

You’re a lot more focused working there than working at your home…

You just go there, and you’re more focused.

You didn’t have to do no productivity hack, no pomodoros, no nothing.

You can just go there, and focus.

Why?

Because space has its own energy.

Library is a space for work.

Not a space for scrolling.

Not a space for watching moves.

Not a space for anything other than sitting in silence and working.

That’s why, when you go to the library you have great focus.

And that’s why, when you work at home you have poor focus.

Because on your desk you’re doing everything, from eating to playing video games, to scrolling social media, to working.

And then, when you try to work, you cannot focus.

Why of course you can’t. Cause it’s not a place for work.

That’s why, you have to take care of the space around you.

Declutter.

Organize.

Throw out the things you don’t need.

If you want to work more from home, you have to make it into your own working station.

Cut down on video games, clear out the room of distractions, and when you sit in that chair, you better be working!

Make the space around you work for you!

P.S.

You can use this principle for everything.

If you want to get rid of old energy, get rid of the old items, and change the space around you.

Buy some plants, add something new to it.

You can change the energy of the space, by changing things within it.

That’s why women cut and color their hair after a breakup… Turning a new leaf.
